This was a highly recommended place by many friends and I haven't been there for about a year. Luckily one of my relatives got lucky and struck lottery... hoho... hence she gave my family a free treat over here.

This "tze char" stall has been in the Alexandra Village area for many years, moving from the hawker centre to coffeeshops around the area. Now it has expanded its premises from the coffeeshop to a shophouse directly opposite it. If you are lucky, you can get a table in the airconditioned shophouse. Otherwise like us, you will have to make do with a table in the coffeeshop.

The food here is generally good and fresh. Some of its specialty dishes - Mingzhu roll, "Moonlight" Hor Fun, Cuttlefish with Kangkong etc. The food is fragrant, considering the generous amount of pork lard used in practically every dish... haha definitely not for people with heart problems or on diets. We were impressed with the black pepper crab (first time trying) as the sauce was fragrant, spicy and the crabs came with loads of crab roe...

The service was pretty normal, just the typical tze char stall service, but at least we didn't have to wait long for the food to be served.

Steam Garoupa Hongkong Style ($34.00)

"Moonlight" Hor Fun ($6.00)

Yam Paste Ring ($15.00)

Mingzhu Roll ($9.00)

Black Pepper Crabs ($62.00) - 2 crabs

Cuttlefish with Kangkong ($15.00)

A place to go with your family members, especially people who loves pork lard. Oh try go earlier as the place tends to get packed from 7pm onwards..

What's for lunch on Christmas?? We bumped into this chinese restaurant place near the entrance of level 2 Marina Square, gave it a shot and we got lucky! This fujianese place is mm mm good. Service was just right. So we order the Cabbage Tofu soup, Pickled vege of the day. Stew Pork. Cold cut Pork Intestine. Specialty "MaZu" Mee Sua and Fried Duck with Yam Paste.

The cabbage tofu soup is sweet and tasty, definitely something to go back for. No msg. Tried and tested by my msg intolerance self. Pickled vege is crunchy and intestine is very light and yet flavorful. The Mee Sua was filled with ingredients such as seaweed, pork dried shrimps and peanuts etc.

It was overall a good experience. They have pretty exotic sounding food like squirrel fish??!..but we're not adventurous enough to try. Gonna recommend family and friends here. Reasonable pricing with good food! There's also some lobster (if u have more money to spare) and seafood dishes on the menu

Fried Duck with Yam Paste ($15.00)

Specialty MaZu Mee Sua ($6.00)

Stewed Pork Appetiser ($10.00)

Boiled Cabbage Tofu Soup ($18.00)

Braised Pig Intestine ($12.00)
Oops portion was supposed to be more, but we only
remember to take a pic after eating halfway. Haha

Pickled Cucumber ($7.00)
Same same, we only took the pic after eating halfway.

The place was fully packed when we went there, but then it was Christmas Day. Probably will bring our family there to try it out another day.
